1971 240Z for sale, very extensively modified.

Almost everything has been rebuilt, replaced, re-sealed, or refreshed

Lots of extra parts, bins of stock/spare parts, engine parts, electronic power steering, list goes on and on.

Engine:

2jz-ge NA-T (head rebuilt by action machine, all new seals and gaskets, new water pump, etc)

Cometic head gasket, ARP head studs, Treadstone Stainless Steel Cast manifold, Borg Warner S257SX-E AGP 0.7 hotside, Precision 39mm wastegate, Turbo XS BOV, Front mount intercooler, 2.5 inch intercooler piping, Clear timing cover, Gates timing belt, FFIM, MS2 PCB 2.57 modified with extra drivers ,3 inch exhaust with ultra-quiet resonator and muffler.

Drivetrain:

South Bend SS clutch kit with exedy quiet disc, ARP flywheel bolts, Collins adapter kit, Nissan 350Z CD009 6-speed transmission, Short shifter, Shifter offset, Stainless steel shift knob, NW drivelines overbuilt drive shaft extra large joints, R200 with VLSD, CV axles, 280Z 27 spline hubs, New bearings and seals, OEM Nissan extended lug studs.

Brakes:

Braided stainless steel lines, Toyota 4 piston front calipers, Las Vegas rear disc conversion, Inline hydraulic brake, Precision ball valve for brake lock, CuNiFer hardline replacement front to back, Wilwood proportioning valve, 280zx 15/16 brake master cylinder, A1 rebuilt brake booster

Suspension:

BC extreme low coilover kit (still has about 3 inches of adjustment lower from what I recall), Adjustable rear lower control arm with A-frame and adjustable toe link, Techno Toy Tuning GTX-2 version 2 front lower control arm, MSA front sway bar, ST rear sway bar (with alignment fix via bracket spacer), Energy suspensions poly bushings where needed, Welded rear strut tower brace, Optional front tower brace

Interior:

Schroth 4 point ASM harness (webbing is outdated, will need re-web for inspected events), Schroth belt pads, Sparco R100 driver and passenger seats, LED gauges throughout, Tablet provides full megasquirt readout in real time.

Plastic fuel tank from LS1 camaro, Racetronix 600hp fuel pump, 6AN braided AN lines front to back, AEM rising rate fuel pressure regulator, 440cc 7mgte fuel injectors.

Lighting:

Gatling gun projector LED headlights, Clear turn signals, LED bulbs throughout.

Cosmetics:

Front headlight covers, Tubular front bumper, Shaved emblems, Shaved rear end, Xenon reinforced front chin spoiler.

Spares:

Steering parts, Racks, Differentials, Axles, Interior parts, Dash cap, Auxiliary relay kit.

Cons:

Paint is 10 foot at best, needs some body work and a paint job if cosmetics are a priority, Currently running 15psi. Will need injectors to step up into big power territory, estimated high 300 whp based on boost levels and specifications, turbo should be good to push into 500hp. Needs TLC on small details.

Kicker:

Currently I live a few hours away. I can travel back to show the car and give test drives on select weekends, but only for serious buyers with money in hand.

Story:

Car was purchased not running. Rust was addressed and it was built stage 1 with a carb’d L28 and basic suspension.

Then I went off the deep end. Fully adjustable suspension in all four corners, LSD rear end with CV axles and the stronger 280z stub axles, and the engine and transmission swap to top it all off. I picked the 2jz as you can find and buy parts at any local parts store compared to the RB26.

The extra 0.4L of displacement also gives it nice cruising and off boost characteristics, I got over 24 mpg on a very spirited drive with lots of boost, pretty sure you could get close to 30 mpg if you chose to be frugal with the throttle.

With the resonator and muffler it has a nice tone and lets you drive without earplugs compared to straight pipes. The fuel tank is another notorious problem point on these cars, it was addressed by converting to a plastic LS1 camaro tank.

With the conversion I threw in the racetronix pump for reliable, high flow fuel delivery. Car starts every time and has completed several long drives without fault. It needs a bit of tweaking and could benefit from cosmetic care and TLC.

I spent a lot of time and money on this car, I’ve spent more than double what I’m asking in parts, tools, and materials. I realize it was built for me and I can’t afford it sitting while I am away so my loss is your gain.

Price is pretty firm, if you want to deal there are some unique parts I’d be happy to hold onto like the turbo setup, suspension, etc.
