I’m selling my 1973 Datsun 240Z. It has a 1985 2.8 liter motor, SU carbs, 6-2-1 header, 5 speed manual, and I have everything for it except the vinyl and carpeting for the interior, and some of the weatherstipping. Replacement parts for this car are still cheap and easy to get, even though good cars are starting to sell for over $12,000. If you are willing to do some work this is an opportunity to have not only a historic and desireable car, but also one that performs exceptionally. This is and ideal candidate for a resto-mod. All the right parts are here but you don’t have to feel bad about modifying a pristine original car. See hybridZ or ratsun websites if you are not familiar with the possiblities. I have removed all the rust from the floor pans and started the replacement. The driver floor is partially in and the passenger floor still needs to be put in but I have the steel for it. The inline 6 engines in these have a beautiful sound and I truly regret not being able to handle this project. Between work and family demands I just don’t think I am going to get it done.
